Control Panel ---- Network and Internet Connections ---- network Connections, klik sekali pada menu Local Area Connection ---- pada jendela, klik change of this connection ---- pilih install ----protokol ---- Add ---- NwLink IPX/SPX/NetBios Compatible Transport protocol ---- OK.
Protokol ini diperlukan untuk beberapa jaringan. Kembali ke Local Connection Properties, pilih Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) ---- klik tombol Properties ---- Isikan 192.168.0.1 sebagai IP address dan 255.255.255.0 sebagai Subnet Mask.
Lakukan langkah2 yang sama pada computer selanjutnya. IP address harus berbeda, misalnya : 192.168.0.2 untuk komp kedua, 192.168.0.3 utk komp ketiga, dst. Subnet mask sama semua.
Apabila berbagi koneksi dg Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), computer memiliki koneksi langsung dengan internet (lewat dial up, ADSL, kabel, dll) harus diberi IP address 192.168.0.1
